‘my city’ - spec. video

This is a speculative project of a lifestyle ad for the city of Toronto. This a sample of the kind of branded lifestyle work I do.

The goal of this spec. is to showcase the way people from Toronto connect with the city, and the value it has for them through the main question “what does Toronto mean to me?”

PITCH DECK

Considering the concept of the video, it was important to capture raw and natural imagery of people in notable spaces throughout the city.

The pitch deck reflects an expanded idea of iconic interiors, such as the ROM or the Toronto Reference Library.

This pitch deck highlights the use of occasional diegetic sounds, loosely scripted encounters, and a diverse cast to represent the feel and sounds of Toronto

STORY BOARD

The storyboard for this video also includes supplemental shots that include potential interior locations such as coffee shops and restaurants.

The boards highlight notable moments in each scene, including the 4th wall breaks to address the camera directly.
